Preferential current control function valve
SUN has created a new valve
3/2-way, adjustable , preferential flow controller flow control function valve
The unique design of this fully adjustable valve can be field set to the flow required for the application.
This advantageous feature results in space savings by combining a bypass compensator and adjustable orifice into a single cartridge solution. This also eliminates the need to specify the cartridge flow setting at the time of ordering.
The FREL has a capacity of 120 l/min (30 gpm) and fits into the T-17A cavity.
The valve is a fully adjustable preferential flow control valve. The inlet flow rate at port 1 is regulated to the preferred flow rate at port 3. If the input volume flow is above the preferred volume flow requirements, the excess volume flow is directed to port 2. The pressure compensated valve provides precise flow control even in applications with large pressure fluctuations. Port 2 can be blocked so that the valve is used as a 2-way pressure compensated flow control valve from port 1 to 3.
- Preferred and residual oil flow can be loaded up to system pressure.
- The preferred oil flow remains relatively constant even with large changes in the supply.
- Residual oil flow is available only when the conditions for preferential oil flow are met.
- The residual oil pressure at port 2 can be higher than the preferred oil pressure at port 3.
- In applications with completely blocked preferential oil flow, the pressure drop to the bypass increases over time. To avoid this, a small amount of leakage must be provided at the preferred volume flow.
- Designed using CFD fluid simulation for optimized geometries.
- Exceeds NFPA test standard T2.6.1 R2014 for fatigue strength and burst pressures.
- Floating design of SUN screw-in valves compensates for larger manufacturing and form tolerances of the screw-in bores and excessive tightening torques
