Invert concrete bridge HS2
Project description:
High Speed Two Ltd is currently building a low-emission high-speed rail line in the UK. The HS2 line will run from Scotland to the South East of England with 25 stations, with the first section from Birmingham to London due to be completed by 2029. The overall aim of this project is to connect eight of the UK's ten largest cities with efficient, reliable and regular public transport. This railroad is intended to provide an environmentally friendly alternative for long-distance transportation.
For the construction of the high-speed railway line, ATP Hydraulic equipped 4 concrete bridges, each 90 m long, with hydraulic and electrical components for the following functions:
- Bridge lifting cylinder
- Traction drive
- Steering
- Vibrobeam drive
- Shuttering drive
- Hose reel
- Electric control
Description of the surroundings:
The planned high-speed line stretches over a distance of 560 kilometers and enables trains to reach a top speed of 360 kilometers per hour. This innovation will significantly reduce travel times. For example, the journey time from Leeds to Birmingham (currently 2 hours and 49 minutes) will be cut by more than half.
