Tunnel boring machine

The back-up of an existing tunnel boring machine has been developed within four months and converted with new and revised hydraulic assemblies.
The TBM is used in the construction of the flood relief tunnel at the Sarneraa.

ATP Hydraulik was commissioned for the following tasks in this major project:

• Revision of all hydraulic components, cylinders, manifolds and pumps
• Hydraulic system of the spraying robot
• Construction of a new platform truck
• Adjustments and extensions to the existing hydraulics
• Retrofit of the gripper cylinder
• Construction of the hydraulic cylinders with termination switches for the TBM dragging system
• Manifolds, cylinders, linear transducers for auxiliary or existing propulsion drives (new construction / adaption of existing systems)
• Engineering and construction of tubings and hoses of the whole TBM incl. the back-up
• Engineering of the hydraulics and the utility lines
• Technical project lead in hydraulics on-site
• Commissioning of the propulsion hydraulics on-site in cooperation with Herrenknecht and Marti
• Complete hydraulic assembly at the production site
• Disassembly of the TBM at the production site (start August 2020)
• Assembly at the construction site in Alpnach (start September 2020)
